Franco Nigro opened Quorum in 1990. He has chosen every piece it has sold since.
THE FOUNDER
A buyer's eye, trained early and never dulled.
Franco learned the trade at Mark James, then opened his own shop in 1990 with a clear point of view: bring Vancouver the European houses it didn't yet know, and give men a place worth lingering in. The first Quorum was a single floor in Yaletown. The standard was set from day one.
By 1997 the shop had outgrown it. Franco moved Quorum to 525 West Georgia, took it to street level, and gave it a building to match the ambition.

More than forty European houses now hang at Quorum, and Franco still selects each one himself. There is no buying team, no committee, no algorithm deciding what a Vancouver man should wear. There is a man who has done this for thirty-five years, choosing what he believes in.
It is a rare way to run a shop. It is the only way he has ever run this one.
